Anadarko to Supply LNG to China

Anadarko Petroleum Corporation has signed a 13-year-long Sale and Purchase Agreement with Chinese National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) under which Anadarko will supply 1.5 million tons of Mozambique LNG per annum.

“We are pleased to announce this SPA with CNOOC,” said Mitch Ingram, Anadarko Executive Vice President, International, Deepwater & Exploration. “This deal gives China's largest LNG importer access to Mozambique LNG's world-class gas resources, <...> and will provide China with a clean source of energy for years to come.”

He also added that the company expects to expand the list of customers in the Asia-Pacific region and to announce further SPAs in the near future.

The Anadarko’s Mozambique LNG project includes Mozambique's first onshore LNG plant initially consisting of two LNG trains with total capacity of 12.88 MTPA to support the Golfinho-Atum field.

International strategies and LNG markets in Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Europe will be discussed at the 5th International LNG Congress. Two-day business program, focus exhibition and B2B meetings compose a platform for networking and interconnection for the representatives of the whole LNG value chain. As this year the Congress is held for the 5th time, we arrange celebrating activities before and during the event.
